Project Overview

BHP engaged AVE Technologies to deliver the complete electrotechnology scope for its Honeysuckle office in Newcastle, accommodating approximately 50 employees.

The new workplace was designed to promote collaboration, security, and flexibility, combining advanced communications and control systems with a refined architectural finish.

Working closely with BHP’s IT and facilities teams from early design through to commissioning, AVE ensured all systems aligned with corporate network and safety standards while achieving a clean, integrated aesthetic suitable for a premium office environment.

Scope Of Works

Complete design and supply of network architecture, switchgear, and patching hardware
Replacement and commissioning of site switches with Cisco-based infrastructure for improved performance
Structured communications system using Panduit copper and fibre cabling
Installation and integration of Crestron-controlled AV systems in meeting rooms and shared spaces
Boardroom fit-out featuring Sennheiser ceiling-mounted microphones, Sony displays, and Webex conferencing for up to 30 occupants
Deployment of TVT CCTV and Inner Range access control for site-wide security
Lighting and power installation, including Havit feature lighting and Clipsal power solutions
Delivery of on-site training and comprehensive documentation for BHP’s IT and facilities teams
